Serve Don’t Sell

Sales does not give many of us a warm and fuzzy feeling. Selling is not something that most people enjoy doing. It may even give you a sick feeling to think about selling something to a prospective client. Do used car salespeople or pushy telemarketers pop in your mind as examples of negative sale’s techniques. Why is this? Is there another perspective?

Attempt to revision the way you see sales by relabeling “selling” to “serving” your customers. Doesn’t serving sound more pleasant and considerate? Recently, my coach asked me this very question, “How would it feel to you, if you reframed selling to serving your clients?”

It was like a light came on, and now I can see selling in a positive light as SERVING. Serve your clients and don’t sell them.

“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” 2 Chronicles 15:7
