SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Led 3 regions of 28 SNFs to $800,000.00 plus positive variance to budget. Led region to improved survey results average of 1.85 per center. Led a staff of 100 to a deficiency-free state survey at a healthcare facility.  Influenced RVPs, Administrators, department heads and associates to achieve high standards of care and customer satisfaction.

Planned a renovation for two healthcare campuses.  Coordinated construction and design and worked with the architect and contractor.  Result:  The renovated facilities improved standards and quality of services offered to residents.  Opened two new skilled nursing facilities 2012 and 2013.

Implemented daily and weekly rounds with departmental staff to monitor progress.  Result: The facility passed all performance reviews and gained credibility with patients and facility owners. Coordinated the unification of four facility leadership teams to improve the admission’s process at four healthcare facilities.  Initiated a centralized decision making process for accepting admissions.  Result:  Combined occupancy increased from 90% to 98% in 18 months.

Planned and directed an improvement process to increase admissions at four healthcare centers.  Improved communication and coordination through weekly meetings with hospital discharge planners.  Result:  Admissions increased 43% and avoidable hospital days decreased 63%.

Trained all supervisory personnel at 24 nursing centers.  Conducted seminars on basic supervisory skills for department heads and charge nurses.  Result: The nursing facilities maintained a 75% supervisor training level at all times.

Initiated the development of a sub-acute rehabilitation unit at a healthcare facility.  Retrofitted 19 beds and renovated a rehabilitation gym.  Result:  The unit enabled patients to rehabilitate close to home and reduced the number of patients traveling to out-of-town facilities.

Presented seminars to long-term health care students at a university.  Teach course on General Administration of LTC Facility.  Result:  The course serves as an important recruiting tool to attract administrators and administrators in training.

Implemented an expense tracking system for a healthcare facility.  Converted departments to a purchase order and approval system with a balancing form for monthly account budgetsResult:  First year implementation created a $40,000 positive variance to budget.
